Akshay Kumar has begun filming for the Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake. Sudha Kongara, who also directed the Suriya-starrer original movie, which launched on OTT in November 2020, will direct the Hindi remake.
In addition to the news, Akshay posted a video of Radhika breaking the coconut as filming for the project gets underway. Radhika is wearing a red saree and sporting a traditional style as she begins the shoot with the auspicious event.

It has been confirmed that Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan would play the lead roles in the remake. The actor confirmed in a new video that filming for the film had begun. The film’s director Sudha Kongara and Akshay Kumar may be seen observing as Radhika Madan breaks the ceremonial coconut before the photography begins.
The Title of Soorarai Pottru Hindi Remake
Making his social media followers a part of the experience, Akshay Kumar called for suggestions for the film’s title, stating that they had not settled on a name yet.
“With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a modest prayer in our hearts, we begin the filming of our still nameless film, which is about dreams and their power,” Akshay Kumar stated in the video. Please share any title suggestions you may have, as well as your best wishes.” After Radhika Madan successfully cracks the coconut open, Akshay Kumar pats her on the back in the video.

Soorarai Pottru Hindi Remake: Story
Sudha Kongara, who directed Soorarai Pottru, will also direct the Hindi adaptation. Captain GR Gopinath’s amazing entrepreneurial path, in which he democratized air travel by creating low-cost airline services, inspired her to write the film.
As previously said, the film was a box office success, and it is currently going to be recreated in Hindi.
While many people were ecstatic to hear about the remake of Soorarai Pottru, some were disappointed by Akshay Kumar’s remark. The reason for this is that Akki’s next project, following Bachchhan Paandey, is a remake rather than an original.
“The Hindi screenplay is just as good as the original, and Akshay enjoyed how it was transformed into a North Indian setting without losing the emotional and inspirational heart,” a source added.

Due to the epidemic, the original film was distributed directly on Amazon Prime Video in 2020. The film received overwhelmingly good reviews from critics and audiences alike. The Hindi remake, on the other hand, will be released in theatres but the official release date has not been announced yet. With so many accolades and expectations, it will be interesting to see if the Hindi version can live up to the original.
