Rapper Drake Has Created A Stir By Posting The Official Line-Up For October World Weekend On His Instagram Account

For an event in his hometown later this month, Drake is reuniting the band. October World Weekend will be held in Toronto from July 28 to August 1 and will have a stellar lineup, including a Young Money reunion with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, as well as visits from Lil Baby and Chris Brown. The OVO chief confirmed this on Wednesday, July 13.

Drake’s social media post contains no additional information, but the caption states that he is “working on bringing OVO FEST throughout the world in 2023 for the 10th Anniversary.” (Drake’s record company and apparel line are known under the acronym OVO, or October’s Very Own.) Of course, we wanted to make the city louder for the summer, though.

Less than a month has passed since Drake released his unexpected studio album, Honestly, Nevermind. Drake’s eleventh U.S. No. 1 project debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 despite receiving negative and positive reviews from critics and fans alike.

If you haven’t gotten it yet, that’s okay. All is well. What we do is that. That’s what we do,” he declared as his song “Calling My Name” played in the distance. “We’ll wait while you catch up. But we’re here. We’ve already caught up. The next is now. I’m really sorry.

During a webcast with the online gambling platform Stake, Drake initially made a hint about a significant announcement involving his hometown of Toronto. Wednesday will bring a big announcement for the city, he said. I’m grateful that everyone is checking out the new album and supporting a long-time goal of mine. I value all the affection.

Drake continued, “It means a lot to me that people are still tuning in after all these years. Being honest and generous with diverse shit. However, I’m back to acting wild. I’m just letting you know that I’m currently in a different bag. I swear to you. Scary.”

Tickets for October World Weekend, which will begin on July 28 with a performance by the All-Canadian Northstars at the venue History, will be available here starting on Friday. The Young Money reunion is scheduled to hit the Budweiser Stage on August 1 after Brown and Baby perform there on July 29.
