HyunA Drops New Solo-Album ‘Nabillera’ Next Week

Later this month, South Korean artist HyunA will release her new solo-album, “Nabillera.”

Hyuna previously made a comeback with her fiancé Dawn when they made their debut as the duo HyunA&DAWN and released the instantly popular song “Ping Pong.” I’m Not Cool, her seventh mini-album, was her most recent solo comeback. She teased the tracks of her debut full-length album but withheld the rest of the details.

The 15 songs will sound similar to her previous dance-pop hits including “Bubble Pop,” “Red,” and “Hot Issue.” Songs that are both sweet and sensuous will be mixed together. According to PSY’s P Nation, Hyuna will release one more mini-album, titled “Nabillera,” prior to the release of the entire album.

HyunA’s “Nabillera” comprises 5 brand-new songs, including the title track “Nabillera,” “Bad Dog,” “Picasso & Fernande Olivier,” “Ddinga Ddinga,” and “Watch Me.” It is her first solo music release since Released in January 2021 “I’m Not Cool.”

On July 14, the record company P Nation announced the tracklist for HyunA’s upcoming EP “Nabillera” on social media. The EP will feature the title track as well as four other songs. Notable co-writers of the album’s lead hit include Psy, the label boss of P Nation, labelmate and collaborator DAWN, HyunA, and Daniel Caesar of the Swedish production team Caesar & Loui, among others. Caesar was included in the song’s credits as both the writer and arranger.

HyunA penned and composed two of the album’s songs, “Picasso & Fernande Olivier” and “Watch Me,” while DAWN shared writing and composing credit for “Bad Dog.” On July 20 at 6 PM KST, the “Nabillera” mini-album is scheduled to be released.

HyunA’s upcoming comeback was first teased by P Nation on July 12 with a billboard that showed the singer being painted on a canvas and positioned on an easel.
She may be seen dancing to ‘Nabillera’s choreography with a number of backup dancers in front of a simple backdrop that seems to be a stand-in for CGI effects during the music video shoot for the album’s title track. HyunA’s post also contains some of the song’s chorus.

When HyunA makes a musical comeback next week, it will be her ninth mini-album overall as a solo artist and her second as a member of Psy’s P Nation label; the first was her mini-album “I’m Not Cool” in January 2021.
