Batman Appearances by Ben Affleck:

Four Ben Affleck Batman Movie—Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), Justice League (2017), and The Flash(2023)—featured Ben Affleck in the character of Batman.

There were rumors that he would feature in a stand-alone Ben Affleck Batman Movie, possibly titled The Batman, but that never happened, and Robert Pattinson eventually filled the part.

Affleck had an appearance in Justice League: The Snyder Cut, a version of the original film that was expanded and given a harsher, gritty tone as opposed to the film’s joyful original in 2021.

We’ll have to wait and watch how much of The Flash Ben Affleck appears in because he’s also scheduled to make an appearance in 2023. It might be comparable to his really small part in Suicide Squad.

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice:

The 2016 Ben Affleck Batman Movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is based on the DC Comics characters Batman and Superman. The movie is a follow-up to Man of Steel and the second entry in the DC Extended Universe.

It was co-produced by Atlas Entertainment and Cruel and Unusual Films, and it was released by Warner Bros. Pictures. On March 25, 2016, it was made available in DCP, IMAX 15/70mm, and 5/70mm formats.

Zack Snyder served as the director, and Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer served as the writers. Gal Gadot plays Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck plays Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill plays Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams plays Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg plays Lex Luthor, Diane Lane plays Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne plays Perry White, Jeremy Irons plays Alfred Pennyworth, Holly Hunter plays Senator June Finch, Scoot McNairy plays Wallace Keefe, Jena Malone plays Jenet Klyburn (Ultimate Edition).

While Superman and the Kryptonians are engaged in combat, Bruce Wayne arrives in Metropolis. He makes an attempt to go to Wayne Tower while ordering everyone to leave over the phone. He nearly avoids the wreckage from the Fortress of Solitude, which was carrying Superman and Zod inside, as he makes his way to the building.

He sees the Black Zero being crushed into a singularity by Kal-Phantom El’s Drive as it collides with it. General Zod pushes Superman into Wayne Tower as they start to battle, and Wayne Tower collapses in ruins as a result of Zod’s unrestrained heat vision.

Bruce is horrified as he searches through the debris for survivors and discovers Wallace Keefe stuck under some debris. He angrily watches Zod and Superman fall from the sky while comforting her.

Justice League:

Zack Snyder’s 2017 film “Justice League,” which was plagued by production issues, cast and crew disputes, and negative reviews, managed to find some measure of atonement last year with the HBO Max release of the four-hour Snyder edit. However, it doesn’t follow that the movie will become any less traumatic for its primary characters.

Consider Ben Affleck, who played Batman in the blockbuster DC film from Warner Bros. Several actors have spoken out about their negative experiences, including Ray Fisher and Gal Gadot (who argued with Joss Whedon during reshoots after Snyder had to depart the project).

But Affleck shared his perspective on his grueling experience on the set in a recent Los Angeles Times interview in promotion of his movie “The Tender Bar.” According to The Hollywood Reporter

Affleck called the production of “Justice League” the “nadir” of his career. One of Affleck’s explanations was that Snyder left the movie after the passing of his daughter, Autumn, in May 2017. Joss Whedon, whom Affleck doesn’t specifically mention, took over for reshoots at that point.

Ben Affleck was intended to appear in more Batman films, but he was having personal problems while filming them. According to VanityFair, Ben Affleck and his former wife Jennifer Garner separated in 2018.
At the time, he was also abusing alcohol, making it impossible for him to maintain his position as Batman and the demanding physical demands of the character.
Affleck chose to step back and take a break after some of his friends persuaded him not to continue playing Batman since such a significant role was causing him a lot of stress in his personal life.
